Andalusian Horses
Andalusian horses are sometimes called PRE (Pura Raza Espanola) horses. They are pure bred Spanish horses originating in the Iberian Peninsula thousands of years ago. The Andalusian horse was always considered to be an ideal war horse as it is a very strong horse while still being elegant and relatively small. Crossbreeding over the recent centuries has affected the breed adversely but numbers of the pure breed are on the increase once more. The Andalusian is very similar to the horse from neighbouring country Portugal; the Lusitano. The most commom colour for Andalusian horses is grey though many are also white.
