Redwings began working for the good of horses in 1984.

The charity has since grown to become the largest horse sanctuary in the UK, with over 1000 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in its direct care and around 500 living out in Guardian homes.

Redwings operates nationwide and its work includes carrying out rescues UK-wide, offering a safe, permanent home for those horses with ongoing veterinary or behavioural problems and re-homing horses to caring Guardians where it is felt they will benefit from life in a family environment.
